State-Owned Leaf Tobacco Redrying Enterprise Transformed into Joint-Stock Company

Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co. - a formerly State-owned enterprise under Qujing City Tobacco Company in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - has recently been transformed into a joint-stock limited liability company known as Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. On November 28, Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. held a meeting of representative of shareholders. Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. is the first leaf tobacco redrying enterprise transformed into a joint-stock limited liability company in China with shares held by 11 other enterprises of the tobacco industry from different Chinese regions - Qujing City Tobacco Company, Shanghai Tobacco Group, Wuhan Tobacco Group, Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, Guangdong General Cigarette Factory, Hunan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, Fujian Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, Anhui Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, Etsong Tobacco Group, Shaanxi Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation and Nanchang General Cigarette Factory. Presently, Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. boasts three advanced lead tobacco redrying lines, each with an annual processing capacity of 600,000 dan (30,000 tons). The three subsidiaries to Qujing Natural Leaf Tobacco Redrying Co., Ltd. have respectively passed the certification of ISO9001:2000 quality assurance systems and official inspection for 2005 and 2006. All the three subsidiaries are capable of processing lead tobacco in line with the relevant technical standards of the State and in accordance with the specific requirement of customers. Enditem
