NC Farm Show Includes Concerts And Contests

The 31st Mid-Atlantic Farm Show will bring "All Things Agriculture" to the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, N.C., on Nov. 2-4. Country music favorite Sawyer Brown will headline the Nov. 3 concert at 7 p.m. in conjunction with the show. Confederate Railroad, Jeff Bates and Even Keel round out the lineup for this show. Tickets for the concert are sold separately through all Ticketmaster locations, www.ticketmaster.com and at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center box office. Charlotte's #1 Country, WSOC 103.7FM, will host a live remote on Thursday, Nov. 2 from noon to 2 p.m. Morning favorite Rob Tanner will be on hand to give show attendees the opportunity to win prizes. On Saturday, attend seminars on a variety of agricultural topics including tips for healthy farm animals to landscaping ideas presented by the Cabarrus County Chapter of the N.C. Cooperative Extension. On Friday, Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m., the Gold Leaf Federation, Future Farmers of America Truck & Tractor Safety Competition will host nine high schools competing for awards. Preregistered students can also attend "Ag Career Days" with more than 15 speakers participating. National vendors will represent the following industries: computer software, livestock supplies, seeds, feeds, tobacco supplies, fencing options, sawmills and equipment trailers.
