Tobacco Checks Scheduled

Tobacco compliance checks will be conducted throughout the county this month. The Racine County Sheriff's Department and the Racine and Caledonia/Mount Pleasant health departments will conduct the checks as part of Wisconsin Wins. Wisconsin Wins attempts to reduce the sale of tobacco to people under the age of 18. * RACINE Suicide attempt reported at jail The Racine County Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempted suicide at the Racine County Jail Tuesday afternoon. A male inmate was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment after the suicide attempt was discovered about 1:55 p.m. The incident is under investigation; no further information is available.
