Serbia Tries Again to Sell 58% in Tobacco Co Duvanska Industrija Bujanovac

The Serbian Ministry of Economy has made a new call to sell 57.9 % of insolvent tobacco producer Duvanska Industrija Bujanovac with a starting price of 2.06 million euro ($2.2 million).

The deadline for bids is August 31, the ministry said on Wednesday. The state has tried several times to sell the stake but without success.

The sellers are state-owned Shareholder Fund AD Beograd with 47% and the Pension and Retirement Fund with 10%.

The company employs about 100 workers. Enditem
