US: FLOC to Protest Tobacco Firm

Members of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee and other supporters will protest a tobacco company today regarding reports of poor working conditions.

The protesters will rally outside a shareholder meeting of Reynolds America Inc. in Winston-Salem, N.C. FLOC said an audit determined workers younger than 13 harvested tobacco at the firm’s contract farms.

The group will then conduct a rally and news conference at Winston Square Park in Winston-Salem. Enditem
