Shaabola Suffers a Heart Attack caused by Heavy smoking!

Controversial Egyptian folk singer Shaaban Abdel Rahim, famously nicknamed Shaabola, ain't afraid of no one, not even ISIS, whom he openly criticised in several of his music videos. That's why, having suffered a heart attack ten days ago - thanks to the cancer sticks he insists on smoking - wasn't going to keep him hospital-bound for too long!

You'll be happy to know, Shaabola fans, that the strong-willed singer has now left the Cairo hospital he was being treated at and is recovering nicely at home.

While many of Shaabola's doting fans kept him going with messages of love and get-well-soon wishes, he told Sada El Balad news that "a number of his fellow friends in the entertainment business deliberately ignored him while he was in hospital." Yikes!

Despite having to take it slow, for now, Shaabola is already thinking about his next gig. The popular singer said that he would love to perform at the upcoming Cairo International Film Festival, if invited to, and would even do it FREE of charge as a service to his country.
