China: Globe President of Alliance One International Visits Yunnan

On January 21, 2015, a 6-person delegation led by Globe President of Alliance One International Inc. Mr. Pieter Sikkel visited Yunnan sub-company of China National Tobacco Company. Yunnan Tobacco Monopoly Administration director Yu Yundong and vice director Shao Yan met with them. Director of foreign affairs office, tobacco administration of Yunnan Sub-company and China Tobacco Yunnan Import and Export co., LTD., attended the communication meeting.

Pieter and his party visited the "Yunnan Tobacco Exhibition", "Yunnan Tobacco Science and Technology Museum" and "Yunnan Tobacco Museum of Art", and held a friendly talk with directors of Yunnan sub-company. Pieter gave high praise to the three museums for they fully displaying Yunnan tobacco development history, technology level and culture management. Pieter said that Yunnan is an important window of China tobacco towards the world, and Alliance One International, as the world second largest tobacco middlemen and main tobacco buyer of China tobacco, maintained close cooperative relationship with Yunnan tobacco industry on tobacco trade and tobacco agricultural cooperation. Through years of unremitting efforts, Alliance One International has established long-term strategic cooperative relationship with Yunnan tobacco industry in tobacco export trade and overseas raw material security. Both sides hoped to strengthen cooperation, consolidated the existing technology and trade cooperation, gave full play to the cooperation and exchange platform, and made new achievements on cooperation and communication.
