China: Oral Tobacco Product Standards Research Project Kicked off

Recently, authorized by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Shanghai Tobacco Group co., LTD has invited industry experts form Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute, China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Corp., China Tobacco Henan Industrial Corp., China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Corp., China Tobacco Guizhou Industrial Corp., and China Tobacco Guangdong Industrial Corp. to hold a symposia on Oral Tobacco Product Standards Research Project in Shanghai.

Experts exchanged ideas on product definition, key indicators and the way of making samples, and formulated the product standards on oral tobacco product features. At the same time, during the symposia, experts decided the specific work plan and overall goals, and all the above companies will participate to formulate standards of oral tobacco products.

Oral Tobacco Product Standards Research Project is the first industry standard project undertook by New Type Tobacco Products Engineering Center of Shanghai Tobacco Group, which founded in March 2014.
