About 45 percent of men in Chui province are smokers, the Candidate of Medical Science Asel Borzhubayeva said at the round table "The extent and consequences of tobacco in Kyrgyzstan" at the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

According to her, the number of women smokers, in particular in the Chui region also increased, where 18.3 percent of the total population are smokers.
