Uncertain Future for E-Cigarettes in Luxembourg Source from: Luxemburger Wort (lu) 10/09/2014 ![]() Electronic cigarettes may be banned in Luxembourg pending the outcome of a World Health Organisation (WHO) report into their impact on health. In a response to a parliamentary question, Luxembourg Health Minister Lydia Mutsch said that no decision will be made on the law on selling e-cigarettes until the report is published in 2016. The WHO has recommended a ban on sales of e-cigarettes to minors until it can be proven that the smoke is proved to be harmless. Because of their low cost, they may be more attractive to young smokers, the health body argues. WHO also wants a ban on their use in enclosed areas, which is not currently the case in Luxembourg. |
