China: STMA Delegation Inspects Qujing Cigarette Factory Source from: HongyunHonghe Group 09/29/2014 ![]() A delegation from the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA), led by STMA Tobacco Economy Information Center Director Hu Xinhua, inspected Qujing Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group on September 18, offering guidance over the work of the cigarette factory, and bringing up expectations about and requirement for informatization at the cigarette factory. Accompanying the delegation on the inspection were HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Gu Hong, Director Zhao Jianhua of the Information Management Department of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., et al. During the inspection, the delegation went deep into Qujing's Cigarette Factory's new joint leaf tobacco cutting workshop and the workshop of new cigarette rolling and tipping lines, to learn about the launch of various works on the site, conducting in-depth investigation and research of the development, generalization and application of the 3D visualization technology and the manufacturing execution system (MES), and offering guidance over the work of informatization at Qujing Cigarette. In talks held during the inspection, Hu Xinhua heard a report given by Qujing Cigarette Factory Director Li Lin on progress in the ongoing drive of informatization and guidelines over the work hereof in a next period of time, and fully affirmed the work of Qujing Cigarette Factory in the following three respects: Firstly, in innovation of management, Qujing Cigarette Factory applies the 3D technology to promote the level of its management. In theoretical innovation, Qujing Cigarette Factory applies information technology in its development, and considers it from a strategic perspective. Secondly, Qujing Cigarette Factory is good at lean management, fine manufacturing and precision control. Qujing Cigarette Factory adopts the 3D technology to adequately implement lean management at all processes, with designation of responsibility to all workers, meeting the requirement of the policy of the tobacco industry to "promote cigarette production and marketing to higher levels". "At Qujing Cigarette Factory, the delegation has seen a paradigm of moving ahead of management, and has seen an example of seeking improvement of management efficiency from technological parameters, which is lean management. In the whole process of production and manufacturing, Qujing Cigarette Factory has realized precision control, and has succeeded in integrating informatization into technology, businesses and management," he said. And thirdly, Qujing Cigarette Factory has realized improvement "from the big to the small, from the outside to the inside and from matters to persons". Improvement "from the big to the small" means improvement of management from the entire factory to specific units of machinery and further to definition of parameters. Improvement "from the outside to the inside" means improvement from the appearance of the factory to the sites of production and manufacturing. And, improvement "from matters to persons" means that Qujing Cigarette Factory has realized "my MES", and has realized fine combination between real-time collection and artificial intervention. Improvement "from the big to the small, from the outside to the inside and from matters to persons" embodies the management idea of putting people first, and embodies the conception that the Internet takes the customer as the center Speaking on the same occasion, Gu Hong, on behalf of HongyunHonghe, expressed gratitude to the STMA Tobacco Economy Information Center for its care of and support for the development of Qujing Cigarette Factory, and pledged that HongyunHonghe will continue to support Qujing Cigarette Factory in keeping improving and promoting the work of informatization as it has always been doing.
