<strong>China: Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute be Identified as the First Batch State-level Enterprise with Intellectual Property Advantage</strong>

Recently, according to the Notice of the State Intellectual Property Office about Determining the First Batch of Demonstration Enterprises and Superior Enterprises Intellectual with National Level Property Rights, Intellectual Property Office of Henan Province issued the list of demonstration enterprises and superior enterprises of Henan province. Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute and other 34 units are the first batch enterprises in the list.

In June 2009, Zhengzhou high-tech zone recommended Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute to apply for "the State Intellectual Property Office's Fourth Batch of Enterprises Intellectual Property Pilot Unit ". The application of Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute was approved by the State Intellectual Property Office in December 2009, Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute became a pilot unit. At the end of 2012, Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute passed the assessment acceptance of the state intellectual property office for pilot units smoothly. During 2009 to 2013, Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute applied service invention 534 items, including 1 foreign patent, 396 domestic invention patents, and 137 utility models patents; and 360 items authorized service invention patents, including 225 domestic invention patents, and 135 utility models patents; registered 37 computer software copyrights.
