China''s Key Cigarette Brands Keep Steady Growth in First Nine Months

During first nine months 2013, China's tobacco industry saw a steady development in key brands. Key cigarette brands structure went up, volumes increased, and supported the tobacco industry to develop smoothly.

Steady Development
During first nine months, total cigarette sales volume in China amounted to 1975 billion units (39.5 million cases), increased by 21 billion units (0.42 million cases) year-on-year; volumes of 27 key brands amounted to 1550 billion units (31 million cases), increased by 102 billion units (2.04 million cases) year-on-year; sales volume of key brands accounted to 78 percent of total cigarette sales volume in China.
During first nine months, sales income of total cigarette sales in China reached 998 billion yuan,increased by 79.6 billion yuan year-on-year. Among it, sales income of key brands over 913 billion yuan, increased by 92.2 billion yuan year-on-year; sales of key brands accounted to 91 percent of total cigarette sales in China. Enditem
