Russia: Moscow to Host World Anti-tobacco Conference  

Moscow will host the sixth conference of the signatories to the WHO's framework tobacco control convention from November 13 to November 18 2014.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed off on executive orders for Moscow to host the sixth conference of the signatories to the WHO's framework tobacco control convention from November 13 to November 18 2014.

Between October 20 and 22 that year, after the protocol to eliminate illicit tobacco trade takes effect, Moscow will host the first conference of the signatories to this international agreement.

The conferences will cost the Russian government 199mln rubles plus $790,000 and $180,000, respectively.

Russia's police and security services are under instructions to enforce security, law and order around the two conferences.
