France: Increased Sale of E-Cigarettes Becoming Concern amongst Experts

E-cigarettes or electronic cigarettes are not the actual tobacco products. However, they give the same taste and appear just like cigarettes. Also, nicotine is offered by these in the same manner as cigarettes.

But, according to a recent report, the increased demand for the so-called cigarettes has also concerned experts. They have now been seeking to even curb the availability of these as tobacco products.

It was a few years back when these cigarettes were introduced in the market. The aim was to make people stop or at least reduce on smoking. Thus, all kiosks provided the same and these products could be bought online too.

Nonetheless, these are now being accepted as a more environmentally friendly alternative to cigarettes. Tobacco shops and convenience stores are both making the same available, which is turning a huge concern.

Smoke and Ashes Tobacco's business manager, Mike O'Neil, said people liked the product since they got less frowned compared to a cigarette smoker.

While the Federal Drug Administration has unregulated e-cigarettes, rules for the same have been announced to be issued later this year by the FDA.

"The board has mentioned it over the past couple of months, but right now I don't see a push to adopt anything new with the e-cigarette at this time", said the town's executive health officer, Bruce Capman. Enditem
