<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Delegation Inspects Huize Cigarette Factory</strong>

A high-level delegation from HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, led by CEO Wu Yi, inspected Huize Cigarette Factory affiliated to HongyunHonghe on July 16, hearing reports on business development and giving instructions on future operation.

The delegation also included relevant leaders from the production and manufacturing center, the economic operation department, and the capital construction and technological transformation department of HongyunHonghe – the largest China's tobacco manufacturer.

Accompanied by leaders of Huize Cigarette Factory including Director Xiao Yaze, the delegation visited the site of technological transformation to check execution of the project of technological transformation at the cigarette factory.

At a business update meeting held on the occasion, Xiao Yaze reported to the delegation the operation of the cigarette factory over the first half of 2013, including fulfillment of production targets, management over quality control, efforts to meet quality control targets, promotion of effective operation of equipment, outstanding performance making, benchmarking, production safety control and regulation, etc. Meanwhile, Deputy Director Li Yun reported execution of the project of technological transformation of Huize Cigarette Factory under exclusive subjects.

Speaking at the meeting, Wu Yi fully affirmed the development and progress realized by Huize Cigarette Factory. He required Huize Cigarette Factory to focus its energy on well making accomplishments in the following three respects:

Firstly, Huize Cigarette Factory should set the target of meeting the standards of the tobacco industry for conversion of existing cigarette making enterprises into advanced enterprises each with an annual cigarette production capacity of 300,000 cases (15 billion cigarettes), and also set the target of turning itself into a leading enterprise among cigarette making enterprises of HongyunHonghe each with an annual cigarette production capacity of not more than 1 million cases (50 billion cigarettes).

Secondly, Huize Cigarette Factory needs to unify understanding and pool together its resources to accelerate its business development.

And thirdly, Huize Cigarette Factory needs to scientifically make overall planning for accelerating the process of its technological transformation. Enditem
