<strong>China: STMA Team Inspects Provincial Corporation, HongyunHonghe</strong>

The State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) – the regulator of China' tobacco industry – sent a six-member team of inspectors to inspect China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. and HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province respectively on April 9 and April 15, to check the relevant work under unified planning by the STMA.

Receiving the team of inspectors, Zhu Shaoming, Communist Party group secretary and general manager of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., expressed the willingness of the provincial corporation to fully cooperate with the team of inspectors during the inspection, and specifically raised requirements to the workforce of the corporation; Firstly, the corporation needed to correctly understand the inspection and earnestly treat the work of inspection; and secondly, the corporation would attach great importance to the inspection and would do all it could to extend cooperation during the inspection by the STMA team.

After the inspection at China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., the team of inspectors went to HongyunHonghe for inspection on April 15. During the inspection there, the team of inspectors held talks with the leadership of HongyunHonghe on the development of human resources of leaders, promotion of incorruptibleness, etc. Top leaders of HongyunHonghe introduced to the team of inspectors the situation of production and marketing by HongyunHonghe, and earnestly heard opinions and suggestions on business development raised by the team of inspectors.
