<strong>China: Tobacco Industry of China Holds Meeting on Equipment Management</strong>

The tobacco industry of China held in Shanghai City on March 7 a meeting to start the project of research of exclusive subjects on equipment management, with the participants exchanging views and holding discussions on major guidelines for exclusive subjects research, contents of research and division of duty in research.

The meeting further elaborated and improved the schemes for the research of all exclusive subjects on equipment management, and made arrangements for the work of research over a next period of time.

To launch research of exclusive subjects on equipment management is not only a carrier of scientification of equipment management by the tobacco industry, but is also a specific measure for deepening and elaborating the lean management of equipment by the tobacco industry.

At the meeting, a leader of China National Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. delivered a mobilization report entitled Exploration of the Law of Equipment Management and Innovation of Ways of Equipment Management, which proposes that efforts be made to deepen understanding about the research of exclusive subjects on equipment management by the tobacco industry.

The delegations from China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd., Shanghai Tobacco Group, China Tobacco Henan Industrial Co., Ltd. and China Tobacco Shandong Industrial Co., Ltd. – the four units leading the execution of the project – separately organized the holding of symposiums on the research of exclusive subjects on equipment management, made speeches to exchange views with all participants in the meeting, specifically introduced the division of duty in the execution of the project of research of exclusive subjects on equipment management, planning for research, contents of research, time schedule for research, formation of research achievements, etc.

The meeting made arrangements for relevant matters and requirements for the work of research of exclusive subjects on equipment management by the tobacco industry.

The meeting was attended by more than 70 representatives including relevant personnel from China National Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and four provincial-level China Tobacco regional corporations as well as equipment management staffers with more than 20 cigarette making enterprises. Enditem
