China: Provincial Corporation Gains Approval to Establish Postdoctoral Research Center

China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd. in east China's Anhui Province has recently gained the approval of its application by Anhui Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department to establish under it a postdoctoral scientific-technological research center.

With the approval of competent authorities of the State, the postdoctoral research center can admit and foster postdoctoral researchers. To establish postdoctoral research centers in enterprises will contribute to giving full play to the advantages and enthusiasm of enterprises, higher educational institutions and scientific-technological research institutes in research, providing postdoctoral researchers with opportunities to conduct practice, and providing platforms for developing high-level human resources needed for the development of enterprises and for accelerating conversion of scientific-technological research achievements into applicable technologies.

China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd. started the process of applying for the establishment of the postdoctoral research center in October 2012. The Professional Technology Division of Anhui Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department particularly sent a delegation to conduct on-site verification and offer guidance at China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd. in reviewing its application for the establishment of the postdoctoral research center. The delegation fully affirmed the work of China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd. in the construction of infrastructure facilities for technological innovation, human resources development, etc.

The establishment of the postdoctoral research center will lead to the strengthening of the capacity of China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd. to introduce and develop high-level human resources of professional technology, and further promotion of independent innovation and technological progress by China Tobacco Anhui Industrial Co., Ltd.
