China: Yunyan Performs Well in Sample Quality Survey Source from: HongyunHonghe Group 12/31/2012 The competitive Yunyan cigarette brand of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – showed good performance in the sample survey of the quality of cigarette products of Yunnan Province for the second half of 2012. On December 11-13, 2012, the tobacco industry of Yunnan held in Yuxi City of Yunnan a meeting on the sample survey of the quality of cigarette products of Yunnan Province and also on internal supervision and control over the quality of cigarette products of the province for the second half of 2012. During the three days of the meeting, the judges attending the meeting appraised 42 specifications of cigarettes produced in Yunnan to evaluate their sensory quality, and conducted analysis and testing of physical indexes and smoke of the cigarette products. As a result, all the 23 specifications of cigarettes submitted by HongyunHonghe met the relevant technical standards, with the up-to-standard rate reaching 100 percent. In particular, 14 of the 23 specifications of cigarettes including Yunyan (Dachongjiu) and Yunyan (Ruanliyinxiang) got a full score for product packaging and cigarette making testing. Yunyan (Dachongjiu) and Yunyan (Ruanliyinxiang) respectively won the first place and the third place in the appraisal of sensory quality with a score of 93.4 points and a score of 93.1 points. Moreover, Yunyan (Dachongjiu) won the first place in comprehensive performance with a score of 97.9 points, signifying that HongyunHonghe has succeeded in going up to yet another higher level in cigarette production and cigarette products quality control.
