China: Former Customs Deputy Chief Visits Kunming Cigarette Factory

Former Deputy Director-General Zhen Pu of the General Administration of Customs, who is now president of China Association of Bonded Areas and Export Processing Areas, visited the new site of Kunming Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China’s tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on December 19.

Accompanying Zhen on the visit was Director Zhang Jincheng of the Customs of Kunming City, the provincial capital city of Yunnan.

During the visit, HongyunHonghe Communist Party Committee Deputy Secretary Dai Wei introduced to Zhen and his entourage the organizational structure, production scope, specifications of cigarette brands, payment of taxes and profits, etc of HongyunHonghe.

Meanwhile, Kunming Cigarette Factory Communist Party Committee Secretary Yang Xiaoping introduced to the guests the planning, production equipment, production technology, corporate culture, etc of Kunming Cigarette Factory.

The guests respectively visited the leaf tobacco cutting lines, cigarette making lines and the tobacco culture exhibition hall at Kunming Cigarette Factory, saying that they were deeply impressed by the profound historical traditions, advanced technology and equipment, and the neat environment of Kunming Cigarette Factory.
