China: Delegation from East China Visits HongyunHonghe

A high-level delegation from Jiangsu Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration in east China's Jiangsu Province, which doubles as Jiangsu Provincial Tobacco Corporation, visited HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on December 10, holding talks with HongyunHonghe leaders on bilateral cooperation in cigarette marketing.

The delegation grouped Director (General Manager) Wei Pengcheng, Deputy General Manager Yang Xingquan, Deputy Director Fan Jianfeng and Discipline Inspection Group Chief Zhu Yatao of Jiangsu Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration, as well as chief leaders of 13 city-level commercial enterprises of the tobacco industry of Jiangsu.

At talks held during the visit, HongyunHonghe General Manager Zhu Shaoming introduced to the delegation the situation of economic operation of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. since the beginning of 2012 and its working guideline for a next period of time, and expressed the hope that the tobacco industry of Jiangsu will continue to support competitive cigarette brands of Yunnan in going up to higher levels as it has always done.

Also speaking at the talks, HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan said that just because of the great support extended by the tobacco industry of Jiangsu and other counterparts elsewhere in the tobacco industry of China, HongyunHonghe has had the confidence and aspiration to vigorously keep forging ahead toward its target of enlarging the annual production capacity of the Yunyan cigarette brand family to a total of 5 million cases (250 billion cigarettes).

Under great support extended by the tobacco industry of Jiangsu, cigarette products of HongyunHonghe have shown favorable performance at the marketplace in Jiangsu Province, Yao said, expressing the hope that the tobacco industry of Jiangsu will continue to extend support to HongyunHonghe in terms of the development of high-end markets for Yunyan, presentation of new cigarette products of HongyunHonghe to the marketplace, etc.

Speaking on the same occasion, Wei said that the current visit to HongyunHonghe by the delegation has contributed to enabling the tobacco industry of Jiangsu to have better understanding of HongyunHonghe, and to have greater confidence in its business operation over a next period of time.

He said that the development of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. and HongyunHonghe embodies great achievements in the drive of China's tobacco industry to develop a modern tobacco industry in the country.

Under the new situation, the tobacco industry of Jiangsu will, in accordance with the general planning of the State Tobacco monopoly Administration, make a good use of its own advantages in the construction of terminals in the process of common development, and strive to assist Yunyan in advancing toward the target of enlarging its annual production capacity to a total of 5 million cases (250 billion cigarettes).
