China: Provincial Administration Official Inspect Construction of Large-scale Irrigation Project

Director Zhuang Zhaoze of the Water Source Office of Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, which doubles as Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Corporation, inspected the construction of a large-scale project of irrigation for tobacco production in Xuanwei City of Yunnan, known as Project Jirong, on November 14-15.

Accompany Zhuang during the inspection were Director Lu Zhenhua of the Infrastructure Office of Xuanwei City Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Executive Deputy Director Jiang Qingwei of the project construction administration bureau, Director Chen Shengdang of Xuanwei City Tobacco Monopoly Administration and other local officials.

During the inspection, Zhuang conducted on-site verification of five packages in the construction of tunnels for Project Jirong that has been recently resumed after a suspension, and called a meeting of management personnel from the supervision and construction institutions, the persons in charge of the five packages, and relevant personnel with the project construction administration bureau.

The meeting heard reports given by the project construction administration bureau on the construction of the project, and also reports given by the construction institutions on the difficulty and practical hardships faced in the construction of the project since the resumption of the construction work.

Speaking at the meeting, Zhuang, in light of the status quo of construction of the project, put forward measures for settling the difficulty and practical hardships for all the five packages.Enditem
