China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co. Holds Meeting on Energy Conservation, Emission Reduction Source from: Hongyunhonghe Group 11/19/2012 China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province recently held a meeting on energy conservation and emission reduction in cigarette production for the current year in Qujing City of the province, making arrangements for the work of energy conservation and emission reduction for a next period of time. On the basis of recalling achievements made in the work of energy conservation and emission reduction by the tobacco industry of Yunnan since 2011, the meeting also summed up the status quo of the work of energy conservation and emission reduction on the part of the provincial tobacco industry. In an address delivered at the meeting, Deputy General Manager Xie Kunhuo of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. unveiled the general guideline and working targets for the work of energy conservation and emission reduction over the next period of time, and announced the working requirements hereof in the following five aspects: Firstly, efforts shall be made to consolidate the working basis and establish long-acting mechanisms hereof. Secondly, both management and innovation shall be strengthened, and the management system shall be optimized. Thirdly, full-scale efforts shall be made to establish energy-saving workshops. Fourthly, information-based management of energy shall be further promoted to higher levels. Fifthly, the efficiency of utilization of energy shall be promoted on a continued basis. Chief Engineer Chen Yunsheng of Yunnan Provincial Industrialization and Informatization Commission invited to the meeting highly commented on the achievements made by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. in energy conservation and emission reduction, and required all units of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. to continue doing a good job of implementation of all targets, in striving to build energy-saving model enterprises with unique characteristics of China's tobacco industry, in playing a greater role in meeting the targets of Yunnan Province for energy conservation and emission reduction for the 2011-2015 five-year period, and in promoting scientific, harmonious and leaf-forward development of Yunnan Province.
