China: Shizong County Tobacco Subcompany Holds Fair of Cigarette Order Placement with Cell Phones

Shizong County Tobacco Subcompany in Qujing City of southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province held a fair of cigarette order placement using cell phones, known as "Tobacco E-Access", on October 22, 2012, in efforts to enrich models of online placement of orders for cigarettes, and satisfy the demand of customers for the placement of orders for cigarettes through multiple channels.

The fair was also a session of training on using cell phones to place orders for cigarettes sponsored by the tobacco subcompany in cooperation with the local telecommunication company. The training session was attended by the relevant staff members of the local telecommunication company, the entire staff of the marketing department of Shizong County Tobacco Subcompany and representatives of local cigarette retailers with no access to the Internet.

At the training session, staff members of the local telecommunication company introduced to the trainees the conditions of cell phones for the installation of the "Tobacco E-Access" client software and the functions of the software platform, and made on-site demonstration and interpretation of the process of operating cell phones to place orders for cigarettes.

The training session proved to be an occasion of interaction and exchange of opinions. The use of the "Tobacco E-Access" cell phone cigarette order placement system not only means the provision of a brand new way of cigarette order placement to retailers, but also contributes to breaking the time limit for order placement in a maximum way, and freeing retailers from inhibition by locality of order placement, which makes cigarette order placement more convenient and rapid, and saves time and reduces costs for retailers.  Enditem
