Casa De Montecristo Opens In Miami

A new Montecristo-branded cigar bar boasting selections of vintage cigars and premium whiskies is now open in the Brickell neighborhood of downtown Miami. Casa de Montecristo by Prime Cigar & Whiskey Bar, which is a joint venture between Altadis U.S.A. and Florida-based cigar bar Prime Cigar, opened its doors to the public earlier this month.

The 4,700-square-foot venue features a walk-in humidor, cigar lounge and full bar specializing in whiskies, Cognac and craft cocktails. Membership options are also available, which includes access to a private lounge, boardroom and early access to the location's "vintage collector's room" for purchasing rare and aged cigars.

According to Gabriel Piñeres, a representative of Casa de Montecristo, the vintage room is not yet open, but is expected to offer, "Cigars that were manufactured years ago, are no longer in production, are very limited or were never released. An example being the Padrón Millennium."

Some of Casa de Montecristo's whisky offerings include Macallan 25 Year Old, Macallan M, Balvenie 25 Year Old, Glenmorangie Signet, Hibiki Harmony and Hakushu.

Altadis U.S.A., maker of popular non-Cuban brands such as Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta and H. Upmann, operates Casa de Montecristo lounges in Chicago, Boynton Beach, Florida, and New York City. A new location is set to open next month in Dallas, Texas.

This is Prime Cigar's second location, following Prime Cigar & Wine Bar in Boca Raton, Florida, which opened in 2010. Enditem
