Lotus International Now the Exclusive Distributor for Elie Bleu

Parisian workshop Elie Bleu, widely praised as one of the world's premier humidor manufacturers, is now being distributed in the United States and Canada by Lotus International.

The deal gives Lotus International, which is based in Rhode Island, the exclusive rights to distribute Elie Bleu's luxury humidors, jewelry boxes, watch winders and other wood accessories in the North American markets. Lotus International also distributes S.T. Dupont cigar accessories, another French luxury brand.

The partnership officially began on March 21, and Lotus International CEO Mike Reynolds said that his company is already building up stock in his company's warehouse.

"Within the last year we started talking with the Elie Bleu people," said Reynolds. He added that Elie Bleu director general Laurent Fuchs "is incredibly bright and knows his business better than anyone I know from a production and design standpoint. He's looking to take his company to the next level."

Reynolds said that his company is currently working on a logistics program that will increase availability and service to retailers looking to sell Elie Bleu products.

Elie Bleu humidors, which are all crafted by hand in the company's factory located in France, are known for their masterful use of marquetry. The company is often commissioned to produce limited-edition pieces for many luxury brands, including the humidor that houses this year's 50th anniversary Cohiba from Habanos S.A. Enditem
