Drew Estate To Open Lounge In NHL Arena, Debut Exclusive Cigar

Cigar-loving hockey fans will soon be able to enjoy a smoke while attending Florida Panthers games. Miami-based Drew Estate Cigars announced today the grand opening of a new lounge at the BB&T Center, the Panther's home arena in Sunrise, Florida. The company will also debut a new cigar-named Year of the Rat-that will be sold exclusively at the lounge.

The Drew Estate Lounge at BB&T Center, which will hold an invite-only grand opening on April 1 (a day off for the Panthers), will feature a large outdoor area that accommodates up to 400 guests as well as its own bar serving premium beer and spirits. Although the game will not be visible from the lounge, the area is equipped with television monitors, so you can enjoy a cigar without missing any of the action. Smoking will be restricted to the outdoor area only, but there will be an indoor humidor where guests can choose from a variety of Drew Estate cigars.

Among the cigars offered will be the new 5 1/2 inch by 46 ring gauge Year of the Rat, which will only be available at the BB&T Center lounge. Released as part of Drew Estate's Liga Privada Único Serie line, the cigar wears a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Brazilian binder and a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. Year of the Rat commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Florida Panthers 1996 season, the first and only year the team made the Stanley Cup Finals. The cigar will come in boxes of 10 and carry a price of $14.00 per stick.

The Drew Estate Lounge at BB&T Center will only be open on game days and a ticket is required to enter the lounge. Although only four home games remain for the 2016 regular season, the Panthers are poised to make a playoff run, as they are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division.
