S.T. Dupont Inks Distribution Deal With Davidoff

Paris-based luxury accessories maker S.T. Dupont has announced a new distribution deal with Davidoff of Geneva U.S.A.

The new agreement gives the U.S. arm of Switzerland's Davidoff the exclusive rights to distribute all of S.T. Dupont's luxury products in the United States, including lighters, cigar cutters, pens, leather goods and men's accessories. The agreement goes into effect January 1.

This is not the first time the two luxury companies have worked together. Davidoff is the distributor for S.T. Dupont in the Swiss market, and the Parisian luxury goods maker also produces Davidoff's Prestige line of soft-flame lighters. Additionally, S.T. Dupont once opened a "shop-within-a-shop" retail outlet inside Davidoff's Madison Avenue store in New York City.

"We are delighted to add the S.T. Dupont brand to our portfolio and look forward to building the brand together with our colleagues from S.T. Dupont-Paris," said Jim Young, president of Davidoff of Geneva U.S.A. "This is a great fit, both for the brand lineup as well as a great fit culturally between our two companies."

Previously, Lotus International was the distributor for S.T. Dupont. While that relationship has changed, Lotus will still handle any after-sales service inquiries, including repairs and warranty-related issues. Enditem
