Davidoff Expands Into Atlanta Suburb Source from: Cigar Aficionado 08/25/2015 The Davidoff empire has became a little larger. The affluent Atlanta suburb of Buckhead is the newest home to a Davidoff store. The store was originally slated to open this spring, but construction delays pushed the project back until now. It opened its doors this morning. The store measures 3,000 square feet, split into five areas, with a design motif inspired by the Dominican Republic, home of the core Davidoff brand. Along with a walk-in humidor, there is also a cigar lounge measuring more than 1,000 square feet, a VIP lounge and a conference room. This new store is located in the Oliver McMillan luxury-shopping area, a six-block area in Buckhead with some 275,000 square feet of dining space and luxury shopping. Davidoff has been quite busy this year on the retail front. In March it announced the opening of an immense store in Tampa (not far from its U.S. corporate headquarters in Pinellas Park, Florida). On March 24, it opened its redesigned Geneva store and in May it announced the creation of a cigar bar on the Las Vegas strip. Recently the company promoted Luis Torres, former general manager of the Davidoff store on Madison Avenue, to the new position of director of retail–U.S.A. Torres will be overseeing all of the company's current and future U.S. retail outlets. He dubbed the Atlanta spot "a truly impressive location." Enditem |
