''World''s largest'' Davidoff cigar store set to open in Tampa

The ultra-high-end Davidoff of Geneva cigar store coming to Tampa's MetWest International complex and billed by the company as the world's largest Davidoff store will open in November, the development announced on its website.

The 5,000-square-foot location will be one of only two licensed locations in the U.S., with the other located in Las Vegas. The company has plans to open more stores in Atlanta, Houston and New York.

The MetWest International complex, located across from International Plaza mall, is already home to several high-end restaurants including Del Frisco's Grille, Cooper's Hawk winery, Kona Grill and Texas de Brazil.

The Tampa Davidoff site will be a partnership with Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz, owners of the Orlando-based Corona Cigar Company.

New renderings of the humidity-controlled store show a large, full-service bar area.

"Scotch, cognac, bourbon and rum. We have rare oddities such as irreplaceable, Prohibition-era medicinal spirits and pre-embargo, pre-Castro rum," Jeff Borysiewicz told cigar publication halfwheel.com.

The store will also have both indoor and outdoor private cigar lockers. Enditem
