US: Cocktail Bar and Cigar Lounge BLEND to Open downtown

BLEND Bar Cigar, a cocktail bar and cigar lounge, has targeted Nashville for its first expansion outside Indianapolis.

CKM Entertainment LLC, the entity that owns BLEND Bar Cigar, signed a lease for a 2,500-square-foot space at 506 Church St., which was formerly occupied by Pacifica restaurant and is steps away from Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant.

"We are very excited about the opportunity to expand into Nashville with our BLEND concept. Since we launched the concept in Indianapolis in 2013, we have been preparing for growth in new markets located in major metropolitan cities in the U.S.," CKM Entertainment LLC President Corey Johnston said in a statement.

According to a news release, BLEND will have an "upscale environment for adults with discerning tastes." It will offer spirits, wine and cigars from around the world. A ventilation system is intended to reduce the amount of smoke in the bar by filtering the air every 10 minutes.

The BLEND bar in Indianapolis has a walk-in humidor and offers a wide selection of cigars and cigarillos. It also has a limited food menu of appetizers and sandwiches.

BLEND is aiming to open its Nashville location Sept. 1. The company is eyeing four additional cities for expansion, the news release says.
