World''s Largest Davidoff Store Headed to Florida

Renowned for its rich cigar heritage, Tampa, Florida, is about to add a modern giant to its bustling cigar bar and retail scene. A new "Davidoff of Geneva-Since 1911" flagship store is on the way, and measuring in at 5,000 square feet, it will become the largest Davidoff store in the world-and the first to feature a full-service bar.

But the new flagship store is not only a Davidoff venture: It's a partnership between the brand and Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz of Corona Cigar Co., who will fully own and operate the massive Davidoff location.

"This store is 100 percent Davidoff in the look, feel and branding," said Jeff Borysiewicz in a conversation with Cigar Insider. "But this is a licensed store owned and operated by Corona Cigar Co., so the culture, staff, personality and the ‘Ultimate Cigar Experience' that we strive so hard to achieve will be the same as our Orlando Corona Cigar stores."

Corona Cigar Co. runs a series of successful cigar shops and lounges throughout central Florida. One of the company's locations features an Avo branded cigar lounge, so this is not the first time Borysiewicz has partnered with the Davidoff family of brands. However, the upcoming Davidoff Tampa store is unique in that it's the only licensed Davidoff location outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.

"About two years ago, Davidoff asked if I had an interest in opening a Davidoff flagship store in Tampa," said Borysiewicz. "I had been exploring potential sites in Tampa for about five years, so there was an interest in opening this store from both parties."

The new location will feature a full-service bar, completely humidified retail space, private lockers and a selection of indoor and outdoor lounges. The store is expected to open sometime later this year at the MetWest International Retail Village in Tampa, Florida. Enditem
