Hungary: Court Orders Release of Tobacco Retail Tender Documents

A second-level court has ordered the Development Ministry to make public all essential documents in its award of tobacco retail licences last year.

The ministry is to release the names of those on the committees that judged the bids, as well as documents and minutes pertaining to their evaluations.

The Democratic Coalition filed the lawsuit last June, and it won a first-instance ruling in November.

The ministry said it will not comment until it receives a written ruling. Enditem
