South Africa: Nicotine Patches Removed from Shelves Source from: The Independent Online (IOL) / The Post (za) 02/19/2013 Johnson & Johnson's Nicorette patches – to help smokers kick the habit – have been removed from shelves and there is no indication when they will return. Laura Nel, spokeswoman for the company, said the registration of the new patches to the Medical Control Council (MCC) had not yet been approved. Nel said they had applied to the MCC last year and were awaiting a response.
