China: Hubei Tobacco Commercial Sector Lunches out District Logistics Programme

Hubei Tobacco Monopoly Administration held a meeting on launching out district logistics project recently. In the project, Wuhan is the center of district logistics, Ezhou, Tianmen, Qianjiang and Xiantao are transshipment point of district logistics. Wuhan and Ezhou district logistics project kicked off from the end of Nov. 2011. On July 25, Wuhan new logistics center was fully operational, the design distribution capabilities reached 620,000 cases ( 31 billion cigarettes) per year, and it can provide fast logistics service for near 110,000 retailers in Wuhan City. The whole project expected to be finished by the end of Dec. 2012. Officials from Sales Management Department, Information Center of Hubei Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Wuhan Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Ezhou Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Tianmen Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Qianjiang Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Xiantao Tobacco Monopoly Administration, and related departments attended the meeting.
