HongyunHonghe, Local Tobacco Companies Sign Pacts on Coordination in Marketing

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - and 16 prefecture- and city-level tobacco companies in the province have recently signed agreements on coordination in cigarette marketing and placement of orders for cigarette products in the second half of 2010.

The agreements were signed following talks between HongyunHonghe and the local tobacco companies held in Mile County of Yunnan on May 17 under the auspices of Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Company.
In an address delivered at the talks, HongyunHonghe Vice-President Feng Bin analyzed the generation situation of marketing of cigarette brands of HongyunHonghe since the end of 2009, and summarized the characteristics of marketing of cigarette brands of HongyunHonghe in the first four months of 2010, saying that cigarette production and marketing were well coordinated, that there was a concentration of production onto competitive brands, and that the structure of cigarette products was improved in this period of time.
In light of the requirement of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration for the development of brands of HongyunHonghe, Feng introduced the strategic planning of HongyunHonghe for the development of brands in the current new period of time. On the relationship between HongyunHonghe and Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Company, Feng said that the two sides take each other as the most important cooperation partner, and that they are strategies allies to each other. He also put forward opinions and suggestions on full-scale development of relations of strategic cooperation between the two sides.
Speaking on the same occasion, Deputy General Manager Yang Jingjian of Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Company put forward three new requirements for the development of the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry:
Firstly, the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry should strive to seek development by closely relying on HongyunHonghe. In the past, commercial enterprises of the provincial tobacco industry realized development by relying on HongyunHonghe. Today, they are realizing more rapid development by relying on HongyunHonghe. Tomorrow, they will realize greater development by continuing to rely on HongyunHonghe, he said.
Secondly, the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry should seize the fine opportunities of changes of the market demand to seek development.
And thirdly, the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry should manage to seek development by making their service more prominent. He said that the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry will join hands with HongyunHonghe in promoting cigarette production and marketing to a higher level. Enditem
