China: Foreign Trade Arm of Provincial Tobacco Industry Inspects Tobacco Group Source from: HongyunHonghe Group 07/01/2009 ![]() Yunnan Tobacco International Co., Ltd. - the import-export arm of the tobacco industry of southwest China's tobacco tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - recent sent a delegation to inspect the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group, in efforts to further strengthen exchange and coordination with the manufacturing enterprise, rectify the procedure for tobacco export and improve the provision of services for producers.
During the inspection, the delegation, led by Communist Party Committee Secretary Li Ming and Deputy General Manager Yang Xuemei of Yunnan Tobacco International Co., Ltd., held talks on the work of tobacco import and export with staff members with the overseas market development department, the development and reform department and manufacturing center of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group.
At the talks, Li Ming briefed the hosts on the purposes of the inspection while Yang Xuemei expounded her opinions on how the tobacco industry of Yunnan should actively respond to changes of the external policy environment in the process of realizing a "second leap forward".
Yang Xuemei said that it is imperative for manufacturing enterprises to divide and elaborate their strategic targets into long-term, medium-term and short-term measures for practical implementation. She also introduced the advanced experience of some successful enterprises in this regard.
Speaking on the same occasion, deputy chief Jin Yi of the overseas market development department of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group, authorized by Deputy President Bi Fenglin of the group, expressed the wish to establish closer links between the two sides, keep improving the procedure for import and export under the premise of making regularization stricter, and raise the responsiveness to overseas markets.
Jin Yi also briefed the guests on the start of plans for export by the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group, the organization of production and the work process for coordination among the different departments of the group.
At the same time, deputy chief Wang Haitao of the development and reform department of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group exchanged opinions with the delegation on fulfillment of the annual cigarette production quotas and issues concerning law and regulations.
The participants in the talks also discussed ways of improving the work process for tobacco export. Enditem
