Sixteen Cigarette Brands Rated as Famous Chinese Brands

A total of 16 cigarette brands of Chinese tobacco manufacturers have recently been rated as famous Chinese brands for the year 2005, at an appraisal conducted under the auspice of the General Administration of Quality Supervision，Inspection and Quarantine of China. According to an announcement issued by China National Famous Brands Development Strategy Promotion Committee, the 16 cigarette brands rated among famous Chinese brands for 2005 are Hongmei (The Red Plum Blossom), The Red Double Happiness, Yuxi, Liqun, Huangguoshu (The Orange Tree), The Double Happiness, Nanjing, The Red Golden Dragon, Hademen, The Great Red Eagle, Chunghwa, Yunyan, Baisha, Hongmei (The Red River), Mount Hongtashan and Furongwang (The Hibiscus King). Under authorization by the General Administration of Quality Supervision，Inspection and Quarantine of China, China National Famous Brands Development Strategy Promotion Committee organized the appraisal by a strict procedure and in accordance with the relevant legal provisions governing the appraisal of famous Chinese brands.
