Tobacco Manufacturer Gets Big Orders for Women's Cigarettes

Nanjing Cigarette Factory in east China's Jiangsu Province - one of the 36 key Chinese tobacco manufacturers designated by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) - has received big orders for its newly developed orange-flavored women's cigarettes. At a recent biannual trade fair of cigarettes made by Nanjing Cigarette Factory for delivery to other Chinese regions in the second half of 2005, Nanjing Cigarette Factory received orders placed by customers from other Chinese regions for its high-grade Qicaimengdu (Colorful Dream Capital) brand orange-flavored women's cigarettes totaling 600 cases (30 million cigarettes). The customers ordering Qicaimengdu were mainly from such big Chinese cities as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Chaozhou, Yantai, Jiaxing and Shenyang. Consumers in these cities are expected to have their first taste of Qicaimengdu in July. The development of Qicaimengdu by Nanjing Cigarette Factory has contributed to filling a gap in the development of fruit-flavored women's cigarettes in China. On April 8, high-grade Qicaimengdu made its debut in Jiangsu and other Chinese regions. Except Qicaimengdu, women's cigarettes on sales in China are all imported brands and are mostly blend-type cigarettes. In developing Qicaimengdu, the technical staff of Nanjing Cigarette Factory focused on researching formulas of leaf tobacco for making women's cigarettes, and carefully chose delicately fragrant leaf tobacco from famous Chinese tobacco-producing regions as the raw material for making the organ-flavored cigarettes, which are mild, gentle and delicate in conformity with the demand of women smokers. Qicaimengdu is of natural fruit flavors, mainly the orange flavor, and is reinforced with appropriate mint flavor, making the mouth feel comfortable and cool. Qicaimengdu is manufactured with the world's first-rate HXD cut tobacco expansion technology and unique processing technology, and with grooved filter tips and highly permeable tipping paper imported from France, which contribute to effectively lowering the content of tar and carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke and making smoking safer.
