Key Cigarette Factory Test-Produces New Low-Tar-Level Cigarettes

Ningbo Cigarette Factory - a key Chinese tobacco manufacturer based in east China's Zhejiang Province - started test-production of a new low-tar-level cigarette product, known as Dahongying-8mg (The Great Red Eagle-8mg), on December 16, in accordance with the direction of tobacco products. [img border=0 hspace="4" vspace="4" align="left" src=http://www.tobaccochina.com/english/picture/041102haiyan.jpg] Developed by Ningbo Cigarette Factory itself, Dahongying-8mg is of a tar level of 8mg per cigarette, a nicotine-in-smoke level of 0.8mg per cigarette and a carbon-dioxide level of 10mg per cigarette. The development of Dahongying-8mg meets the requirement of China's tobacco industry to promote the development and production of low-tar-level cigarette products, and also the demand of Chinese consumers for low-tar-level cigarettes. It has also contributed to strengthening the technological capacity of Ningbo Cigarette Factory to develop low-tar-level products. Dahongying-8mg is of a strong aroma, generating a mild, sufficient and harmonious flavor which is free from odor and which is lightly stimulant, and also generating a pure, aromatic and gentle aftertaste. The packaging style of Dahongying-8mg is absolutely new, featuring a low tar content and a high level of technology. The tipping paper for making Dahongying-8mg is perforated with laser to improve its ventilation. Besides, the filter rods of Dahongying-8mg are made with the technology of dual-composition, and have special flutings in them.
