La Palina to Debut First-Ever TAA Exclusive Source from: Cigar Aficionado 03/07/2016 For the first-time ever, La Palina will be releasing a TAA exclusive cigar, and it's being rolled right here in the United States. The limited-edition cigar will be sold only through retailers who are members of the Tobacconist Association of America, and it will be revealed at the organization's conference next week. Called Bill's Blend, the new parejo measures 6 inches by 50 ring gauge and sports an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, an Ecuadoran binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It's actually a private blend that Miami's El Titan de Bronze factory has been making for La Palina owner Bill Paley for years. Located in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, El Titan also rolls La Palina's Mr. Sam and Goldie lines, which have scored well in past Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider tastings. Bill's Blend will retail for $10.99 per stick and come packed in 20-count boxes, of which only 1,000 are being produced. According to La Palina's Sam Phillips, the cigar is slated to hit cigar shops in the spring. Enditem |
