Smallest My Father Cigar Now In Handy Sixpack

My Father Cigars, a very large producer of handmade smokes in Nicaragua and Miami, is putting a new spin on its smallest cigar.

The Don Pepin Garcia Original Demi Tasse, which comes in boxes of 30, will soon be available in bright blue sixpacks as well. The small cigars measure a mere 4 1/2 inches long by 32 ring gauge, and will come packed in small cardboard boxes (not tins, as has been reported elsewhere). The suggested retail price is $18.60 per pack, and they should be in cigar stores next month.

The Don Pepin Garcia Original line, casually known as the "blue label," is made in Miami using an all-Nicaraguan blend of tobaccos, though the rest of the My Father portfolio is produced in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Demi Tasse is made with same blend, but with some adjustments-the little cigar has only one binder leaf, while larger cigars rolled at My Father Cigars S.A. get two binder leaves.

The Demi Tasse scored 84 points in a vertical brand tasting of the Don Pepin Garcia Original line conducted in a May 2014 Cigar Insider. Enditem
