Kafie 1901 Connecticut From Puros Aliados Source from: Cigar Aficionado 04/09/2015 Miami-based Kafie 1901 Cigars is now shipping its new Connecticut blend to retailers, the second cigar rolled for the company at the Reyes Family's Tabacalera Puros Aliados factory in Honduras. The new Connecticut sports a mix of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, with binder grown on the Reyes Family farm located in Honduras. A lightly hued Connecticut-seed wrapper from Ecuador covers the bunch. Brand owner Gaby Kafie says the new cigar comes packed in 20-count boxes in three sizes: a 5 inch by 50 ring gauge Robusto, 6 by 54 Toro Bello, and a 7 by 48 Churchill. The suggested retail price for the cigars range from $6.99 to $8.50. Tabacalera Puros Aliados, located in DanlĂ, Honduras, was formerly overseen by the late Rolando Reyes Sr., who died in 2012. The factory is best known for producing the Puros Indios and Cuba Aliados cigar brands. Enditem |
