Cigar Insider Names Liga Privada Hottest Brand In America

Liga Privada, the broadleaf wrapped, dark and robust smoke made by Drew Estate in Nicaragua, was named Hottest Cigar Brand in the United States in yesterday's edition of Cigar Insider.

The accolade is the result of an annual survey of top brick-and-mortar cigar shops located around the United States polled by the editors of Cigar Insider, the semimonthly newsletter from Cigar Aficionado that has been published since 1996.

This is the 18th year Cigar Insider has conducted the survey, and the first time Liga Privada has been named the hottest brand—the one most requested by consumers in cigar shops.

Liga Privada was named as a hot brand by 29.9 percent of the retailers who answered the survey, narrowly edging out Tatuaje, which took 28.6 percent of the vote.

More than 150 fine cigar stores were represented in the survey, which also named best-selling premium cigar brands, top-selling sizes and showed sales results and market trends from around the U.S. Enditem
