Pakistan: Phillip Morris Cigarette Brand: Change of Code Allocation Allowed Source from: Business Recorder 03/10/2013 ![]() The Federal Board of Revenue has allowed M/s Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited to print the code "For Sale in GCC Countries" instead of "Not for sale in Pakistan" on their cigarette brand "Morven Gold" exported to overseas markets in Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) countries. It is learnt here on Saturday that the FBR has issued a letter to the M/s Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited. According to the FBR, with reference to M/s Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited letter on the code allocation on cigarettes sold to overseas market and to say that in terms of Rule 33(2)(c)(i) of the Federal Excise Rules, 2005, the FBR has allowed the said company to print the code "For Sale in GCC Countries" instead of the expression "Not for sale in Pakistan" on their cigarette brand namely "Morven Gold" to be exported to the GCC countries. |
