China: Meeting Held on Construction of Bases for Producing Quality Tobacco for Septwolves

China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd. and Fujian Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration in southeast China's Fujian Province jointly held a symposium in Xiamen City of Fujian on December 25 on the construction in Fujian of exclusive bases for producing ecological raw materials of leaf tobacco for making cigarettes of the famous Septwolves brand of China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd.

The meeting emphasized that in 2013, the manufacturing sector and the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry shall further deepen their cooperation in promoting the production and marketing of Septwolves cigarettes to higher levels, in promoting the construction of exclusive high-quality leaf tobacco production and supply bases to higher levels, and in actively making explorations for establishing long-acting mechanisms for cooperation in the development of high-quality leaf tobacco with local characteristics, in purchasing leaf tobacco sporadically produced by local tobacco growers, in executing scientific-technological research projects, etc, to practically guarantee the supply of high-quality leaf tobacco for making Septwolves brand cigarettes.

Lin Zesen, deputy general manager of Fujian Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration, which doubles as Fujian Provincial Tobacco Corporation, and Li Yangjia, deputy general manager of China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and respectively delivered speeches.

In his speech, Li Yangjia introduced the development of the Septwolves brand by China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd. in 2012.

He pointed out that in 2012, China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd. showed a favorable situation of continued enhancement of the influence of cigarette brands, sharp improvement of the structure of products, sharp growth in both taxes and profits, and simultaneous robust development of both old and new products in production, marketing and economic operation, which would not have been realized with powerful support extended by Fujian Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration and the three existing exclusive bases for producing and supplying high-quality leaf tobacco for Septwolves.

Meanwhile, Li Yangjia emphasized that the manufacturing sector and the commercial sector of the provincial tobacco industry shall further strengthen bilateral cooperation in enabling Septwolves brand cigarettes to demonstrate the characteristics of leaf tobacco of Fujian, in enabling high-quality leaf tobacco of Fujian to better meet the stylistic requirement of Septwolves brand, and in managing to improve the quality of leaf tobacco of Fujian through construction of exclusive bases, to practically guarantee the production and supply of high-quality raw materials of leaf tobacco for Septwolves.

Attending the meeting were more than 80 leaders and staffers from Fujian Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Longyan, Sanming and Nanping City Tobacco Monopoly Administrations, and the procurement center and the technology center of China Tobacco Fujian Industrial Co., Ltd. Enditem
