China: Brand-name Products of Shanghai Tobacco Group Enter Taxable Markets in Chile

Cigarette products of the time-honored Red Double Happiness and Golden Deer brands of Shanghai Tobacco Group have recently entered taxable markets in Chile for sale, as a result of close cooperation between the import-export arm of Shanghai Tobacco Group and local dealers, and on the basis of sufficient market survey and early-stage preparation.

The development means that Chile has become the eighth taxable market area for Golden Deer in Central and South America. It has not only contributed to filling the gap of cigarette marketing by Shanghai Tobacco Group in Chile, but has also further enlarged the coverage of the Red Double Happiness and Golden Deer in overseas markets.

In a next period of time, the import-export arm of Shanghai Tobacco Group will, in accordance with the requirement of Shanghai Tobacco Group for focusing energy on developing priority brands, continue strengthening cooperation with overseas dealers, follow up the marketing performance of both the Red Double Happiness and Golden at markets in Chile in a dynamic way, make timely readjustment of its marketing strategies, promote stable growth of marketing, and increase the influence of the brands, in laying a solid foundation for Shanghai Tobacco Group's development of taxable markets for its cigarette products in South America.
