December Cigar Aficionado Features First-Ever Six by 60 Tasting

Walk into any humidor in America and it seems cigar manufacturers have agreed on one thing concerning a cigar's ring gauge: go big or go home.
 
Whereas a 50-ring gauge cigar was considered hefty during the boom of the 1990s, in the last few years, almost every brand has added a 60-ring-gauge smoke to its portfolio. Whether you call them gigantes, corona gordas or just fat cigars, the 60-ring smoke is not just an industry fad, but the norm.
 
And so, for the first time ever, Cigar Aficionado has conducted a special 6 by 60 tasting, the results of which can be read in our December issue that features golfer Ernie Els on the cover and is on newsstands now. Enditem
