HongyunHonghe Fulfills Solicitation of Orders for Delivery in July-December

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - announced at meeting on the development of big competitive cigarette brands of Yunnan Province that it has fulfilled the solicitation of orders for its cigarette products for delivery to commercial enterprises in the second half of 2010. According to data released at the meeting on the development of big competitive cigarette brands of Yunnan Province held on June 3, the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group has registered steady growth in the sales of its leading competitive cigarette brands, including Yunyan and Honghe, so far this year, characterized with improvement of the structure of products and further concentration of products onto well-known big brands. Presently, the tobacco industry of China is in a new round of profound reform to promote cigarette production and sales to a higher level, with promotion of the development of cigarette brands to a higher level as a major characteristic. This new round of reform is intended to realize optimization of the structure of resources and better flow of essential factors of production, with strengthening of the overall competitiveness of China’s tobacco industry as the target. In an address to the meeting, Deputy Director-General He Zehua of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration emphasized that the formation of a "big market" is a precondition for the development of big competitive cigarette brands, that the commercial sector of the tobacco industry needs to intensify efforts for the formation of a "big market", that big enterprises need to play a leading role in this endeavor, and that the development of big competitive cigarette brands is an ultimate goal of the tobacco industry. In a separate address to the meeting, General Manager Cao Huaqing of China National Cigarette Sales Corporation said that efforts will be made to create a market environment of fair competition for cigarette brands of Yunnan, well plan the marketing of cigarette products made in Yunnan, develop brands in accordance with the market demand, and support the development of key competitive cigarette brands of Yunnan. Also speaking at the meeting, the representatives of all commercial enterprises unanimously expressed the readiness to create new models of marketing, deepen coordination between manufacturing and commercial enterprises of the tobacco industry, improve accurate marketing, and manage to promote the development of key cigarette brands of HongyunHonghe. The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group has registered relatively sharp growth in all indexes of production and marketing so far this year on a year-on-year basis. Enditem
